Typography
Typography is where design meets language. This course teaches how type reinforces meaning, supports reader attention, and upholds professional standards. You will learn to choose and use type deliberately, making text clear, credible, and efficient across media.
What You’ll Learn
- Anatomy and classification of typefaces
- Readability and legibility across media
- Typography as interface: composition and formatting
- Expressive typography as visual communication
- End goals: communication, attention, standards, utility, selection, and efficiency
Why This Matters
Typography is often invisible when done well but distracting when ignored. Mastering type helps you communicate more effectively, build credibility, and elevate every piece of design that uses words.
